Hear about the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Project (CERP), one
of the largest public works projects in the nation, its successes and
continuing challenges for restoring America’s Everglades, and links to
other on-going research in other parts of the U.S. Understand the on-going level of coordination of stakeholder support, funding mechanisms and the importance of the Kissimmee watershed project and how it fits into the CERP. The goal of this session is to explain goals of the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Project, appreciate the complexity of the project, challenges, and successes of the Kissimmee River watershed project.
